Laugh out Loud

I love watching how babies grow and look, but even more than that I enjoy getting to see their personalites develop. Gigi in the last month has learned she likes to do things to make people smile and laugh and then she will do it over and over and just think its soooo funny every time. She started out will falling on the ground or couch, and then get back up and pretend she fell again.

Now on most days around our house this is how she is, naked. Im not sure whats with my kids hating clothing but most days, even in the winter they are pulling their clothes off the second i force them over their heads. Maybe this is my punishment for being addicted to baby clothing, they wont wear any of it......

But Now part of this Gigi is funny personality she has going on, she will go in the room and pick out some pj's, bring them to me, lay on the floor and stick her foot up like she wants it on. So ill put it on her, she laughs and goes back in the room for another sleeper pj. So we force that on too and off she goes for something else....today it was zebra pants. Honestly I think she would just keep doing this over and over if we could fit anything else on.

And of course in this house, you cant have one kid doing somthing silly without the other wanting to join in on the fun so here is brie in 2 pj's a pair of shorts with pants over top and a sweater to tie it all together! Some days I just need a break from kids and I think about what my life would be like without them, But then they always remind me that no one can make me smile and laugh like they can.

mommy look at my makeup

Brie just loves make up and dressing up and everything girly. She has her own kit with all sorts of stuff in it and this is how she came up to me the other day. She said she was making a mask. She showed me what she used and it was this sticky lip gloss so it was so hard to get off. I think some of the pink just stained her skin because even 3 days later there is an odd pink color to her face. Oh and dont let me forget the pink highlights that are now in her hair lol....silly girl will be wanting to wear make up to kindergarden

Tea for Two

When I found out I was going to have another girl this is what popped into my mind. Two little girlies having a tea party, Wearing matching easter dresses searching for eggs, And building tents together to play in. We are starting to get there now that miss G is a little older and can play with her sis. 90 percent of the time they are fighting with eachother but that other 10 where they get along and play together is priceless!

Message in a Bottle party invites

So here are the invites I made for Bries 4th Birthday which is a Mermaid/Under the Sea party. What could be more perfect than a message in a bottle! The best part is that I already had everything to make them at home and didnt have to go to the store for anything. The bottles were just recycled ones I had from salad dressing and things like that. The fabric was left over from when I was a mermaid for halloween, the sand was from the girls sandbox, and the shells and paper are just part of the HUGE collection of craft supplies I collect an have on hand just for these kind of days! They were super fun to make but I only had about 6 bottles to start with so I have to eat lots more salad so there are more bottles.

Fishy

For Brie's Bday I am doing an under the sea mermaid party. I couldnt be more excited about the theme because I have always wanted to decorate a whole room to look like the ocean ever since My whole school did all the hall ways like that one year when I was in like 2nd grade. So I have tons of ideas of stuff I could do to make it look like we are under water but of course you have to have fish, I thought about just making them 2D out of paper but of course I couldnt just go the easy way out so I decided to try making a fish from paper mache tonight. I was surprised how well it went and turned out. To make it I drew the outline of a fish on some cardboard then cut a big whole out of the center of it the shape of a balloon. I stuffed the balloon in the middle and then used some rolled up newspaper to shape it more rounded. Then I made the glue with 2 cups of hot water and 2 cups of flour. I used my hands to coat the glue all over the balloon and started adding the strips of paper. It took a long time to get it just right and tons of layers of paper but I think it turned out good. After drying for 2 days I can start to paint it which will be a whole other challenge. I hope they turn out good and I can hang them from the ceiling. Tomorrow I might try and do an octopus if I get inspired! Not sure if ill post pics of it all done until its hanging for the party! Leave a little but of surprise for the guests!

Insanity

So this is part of my looses weight goal, not only am I doing the good old diet but every day I do one of the Beach Body Insanity workouts. They really are what they say "INSANE" It is a 60 day program where you do one work out each day, They are any where from 35-60 min and by the end of them you cant even move. I have never been good at doing video workouts but I cant run on the icy roads out here and I never have time for the gym so I just had to suck it up and do them. So far they seem to be working and I have lost about 5 lbs in a week. So I strongly recommend them to anyone who wants to work out at home and work out hard....they are NOT easy by any means! I hope in 60 days Ill have a sweet beach body and be in the best shape of my life like they claim I will!
Yay a night out without the kids! It was chance's bday last weekend so his lovely wifey nicole had a surprise party for him at mambos, even though it didnt end up really a surprise. Mambos is probably my favorite restaurant around here. We ended up with so many people they had to put us at two different table, so of course the girls stuck together and the guys got their own room. It was a good time with good wine and food and even a COCK dessert that they made up special for us. by the way canoli cream is not that good. It was a calm night and we were actually home by about eleven but just a few hours out was much needed and it was good to see everyone!

Family Fun zone

Im so proud of Kalispell for getting a fun place for familys to come and hang out! It seems like every weekend in the winter we are trying to find something to go do with the kiddos and some times its too cold to play in the snow or there is no snow. So now we can go to the Zone! There are lots of things for kids of all ages, laser tag, bumper cars, arcade games, a big ball center and huge bounce house and slide. They also do pizza parties and stuff there. We just we to check it out and ended up letting brie play on a few things. Kacy is super into the laser tag and has gone back a few times with his friends to play. I think we will end up going there on Bries actual bday ( which is also my bros gf's sons bday) for a party and then have her party at home the next day. It gets super busy on the weekends so I hope it stays busy and stays open! Kalispell really needed a fun place like this and im excited to go back!

Out Sledding

Right after New Years I got kinda lame and stayed home for about 3 days. And I was so bored after three days I needed to get out bad. So good thing my bro invited us to come sledding and go out for some pizza. Brie just loves playing with Emily, so they had a blast sledding. I was impressed what troopers they were walking back up the hill. It was solid ice so it was hard for me to even walk back up. Even Gigi had fun, and I took her down on the sled a few runs. After we went out for some Pizza Hut. Its a good place to take 4 wild kids when there are only 2 adults to watch them. But they were super easy there too and we all had a great time. Like I said I stayed home a few days so that was like a super fun evening for me lol!

Bries Story

Brie is quite the story teller, she makes up stories and plays and shows all the time. The other day she was pretending to write her story down so i asked her is she wanted me to write it for her as she told it to me...I thought it would be a fun thing for her to have when she is older, a book of the stories she tells...so im proud to present her first story.....

Once upon a time there was a mermaid that had a dress on with poofy things and a flower. The mermaid was so serious she didnt know where her family was. So she found them in her castle. And all the mermaids came to visit her. It was snowing and the princes were boys. And then it was summer again. All the mermaids turned into.......The End

Guess we will have to wait and see what they turned into next time.......

New Years

Every Year on New Years Eve they do a thing for the kids at the mall as part of First Night. There is always free face painting and pony rides and hat making. This year Dora the pony must have been too cold because she wasnt there. But Brie did have fun still making her hat and getting this butterfly on her face. It was super cute because while the lady was doing it brie says real quite to her "you look very beautiful" and the lady goes back "Thank you thats the nicest thing anyone has said to me all day" Oh it always makes me proud the rare moments her good manners come out. And the last one is the hat brie decorated. She didnt do much just stuck on a few things but she was very proud of it. Got to get my kids liking crafts at a young age.
