So I think I just had the busiest month of my life, but also might have been the most fun! But of course that made me a slacker on my blog.....so here is a recap of what was going on......
Kelseys Shower and Bachlorette Party
We started out the night getting all dressed up for the "Little Black Dress" themed Bridal shower that Kaycee threw for kelsey at Flaunt Hair Boutique. The food and decorations were amazing and of course the drinks. Kelsey got some very nice presents like thongs, condoms, and booze lol and my personal favorite a lacy sexy apron, a bucket of cookie cutters and a baking sheet....every good wife bakes cookies looking like that. After the Shower we moved on to the Bachlorette party at Scottys where DJ Tim kept up dancing all night long and our trooper Bachlorette actually finished the super long list of things we had her do.....Some I remember were "getting the suspenders off the John Deere Guy" "Taking a shot out of a girls boobs" and "giving a BJ demo on the pool table" It was a ton of fun to get out all dressed up and man were we a hottie group of girls!
Gigi's First Birthday Circus Style
Man did I have fun planning this party! First of all I have to thank Christina for starting me off by helping with the amazing invites...which i still havnt sent her one, sorry C ill get on that. Ok moving on, for decorating I bought a ton of those plastic table clothes and draped them from the celing to look like we were in a giant tent. I also made a giant balloon arch which was a learning curve but so much fun to make. At least now I know how to do it with out having to use 200 helium balloons. For the Games we had bean bag toss, a duck pond, Rings of fire to jump through, and then face painting by kelsey, and balloon animals by me! Oh and the food, yum yum yum of course it had to be carnival food so there was hot dogs, popcorn, and caramel apples. Fallowed by the amazing Coldstone cake made by Auntie Cole herself. It was a good turn out and even though it took me a crazy amount of time and money for a one year olds birthday it was worth it for my sweet baby G!
Canadian Thanksgiving
yeah yeah make fun of me, but having both US and Canadian citizenship has its perks, one is that I get to have two Thanksgivings, and for those of you who dont know this they celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada at the beginning of October. So not to much to really say except that we all stuffed ourselves!
Kelseys Wedding
She was such a beautiful bride and everything turned out so nice. I think one of my favorite parts was just getting ready with the girls and seeing her in her amazing dress! Lets just say there is never enough champagne. The ceremony was short but sweet and baby beau was the cutest ever in his tux, that moment made me was a baby boy, but just for a second :) Lets see....we ate some food and then got on to the fun stuff, We all cried as she danced with her daddy to "I loved her first" and laughed when Kelsey busted out the air guitar. I think every drop of alcohol was gone before nights end, but what can you say we are a fun bunch!
Sweet Pickins
Every year I take the girls to Sweet pickins and just like every other year we lucked out on an amazing sunny day....so glad I didnt wait another week and have to go in the rain. Best new thing there is a the giant pumpkin pillow, its like a huge trampoline but on the ground!!
Corn Maze
Ok so this is just embarrassing, First year we went to the fritz corn maze I went with Brie, Kacy, and Nicole......now for those who dont know you get a card with 4 things to find in the maze so me and nicole decided to race kacy and brie, lets just say we got our butts kicked! and this year the same thing happened. Kacy had brie, Kory had gigi and I was running free and fast all over that maze determined to win.....well in the maze speed is not always your friend because i blew right by that scarecrow and lose once again. But we did get great pics of the day and had lots of fun!
Boo Bash
3rd annual boo bash, and its getting bigger and bigger every year! This year we had some good costumes, but i was very surprised that all the guys were quite tame this year, no balls, or penis's which seem to be a popular costume theme most years. But some of the other costumes we had there were, Trolls, Richard Simmons, Papa Smurf, Alice in Wonderland, Spice girls, a Holy cow, a Birthday suite, Braveheart, and then me and kacy went as a magician and assistant. I really loved my costume but it was a wee slutty and I hope karen didnt get video of me at the end of the night scoring a few dollars :) Oh and I almost forgot the best part of the party was "hazel the taxi driver" She was a witch in chances demo car with her bottle of boons farm.
Halloween
I am one proud mom this halloween. I made my girls costumes and they were a peacock and a flamingo. Both their dresses were made of over 10 years of tulle and then we added all the feathers and they turned out so amazing. Amazing enough that they actually won the Best Overall prize at the Parkside costume contest. They went up against about 300 kids so i was very surprised they won, especially because i thought there were some other way more impressive costumes there. Then we went trick-or-treating which gigi slept through but Brie had so much fun, and honestly it was crazy, strangers were taking pictures of her and we couldnt make it ten feet with out hearing people comment on the peacock. I was so proud of her manners she ran up to every door and said "trick or treat, Thank you happy Halloween" and dont even think of trying to scare her! We went through the haunted house and when a scary guy jumped out at her all she did was yell back at him " hey dont scare me im trying to get through" too cute! So the pressure is on for me to make good costumes again next year so think I better get started soon!
Well that is the end of October so I hope you enjoyed that looooong post!
