How Do You Know That......

Every day brie tells me things that just blow my mind, and I have to ask her how she knows these things. Kids are so amazing the things they soak up and remember, but dont worry these are all G rated comments. Thank god she has yet to repeat or bring up any bad things she has heard or seen

Scene: Just driving home silent
Brie: "mommy did you know when you mix blue and red it makes purple"

Scene: Watching Land Before Time together and as far as I know I have never taught her or talked about names of dinosaurs
Kacy: "Brie do you know what kind of dinosaur sharp tooth is?" ( we are both sitting there thinking she will have no idea)
Brie: "umm umm he is a T-Rex"
Us: Silent, look at each other, more silent " how did you know that"
Brie: "well he looks the same as the one on that movie w the boys and that was a t-rex" (i figured out she was talking about meet the robinsons"

Scene: Brie comes running into the bathroom where I am all excited after watching some cartoons
Brie: " mommy I just saw this stuff on tv that will make your stretch marks go away!"
All I can do is laugh because she even paused it so I could check it out.

Rockstar

Gigi found my ipod after I got back from a run and it just blew me away that she knew to put the headphones in her ears and rock out. Babies are so observant its amazing what they learn from just watching you. of course big sis is an expert at the ipod already so she wanted to jam too and switch songs. its my running playlist so i think they are listening to G6 and I bet I bust lol.

Brie+My phone=these pics

Brie loves using my phone to take pictures and the other day I downloaded everything off my phone to see what kind of things we would got. There was almost 200 pics of all sorts of thing but most of her sister doing things. She has cought gigi climbing, trying to touch the computer which is a no no, and my personal favorite gigi picking her nose with her thumb. There were also a lot of naked bum shots but I deleted those ones :) Thank you PI Brie for giving me a good laugh

Bunkbeds

brie really wants a bunkbed, but I wasnt sure they were quite ready for them. So they made there own out of the table. of course they are already fighting over who gets the top bunk!

The Fantastic 5

Last year for kacy's moms birthday we got her frames pics of all her grandkids and then each year we get updated pics of all of them and replace them in the frames. Her birthday was on wednesday so now I can reveal how all the pics turned out :)

Oh the difference a year can make

I just wanted to take a minute and say how thankfull I am that my little miss G has improved in so many ways this past year. One year ago she started getting the most horrible eczema rashes all over her body. It started as a little spot on her cheek and just kept getting worse and worse. I would put her in her car seat and by the time we got to the store there would be blood all over her face and hands from scratching so bad. we took a trip to California in May and all that hot sun seemed to help clear it up, and with some super strong steroid cream it got better. I have just been waiting for it to come back this winter with the dry air but it seems to have gone away besides a little dry skin.

Also she would not swallow solid food for the longest time. Even at her first birthday she was spitting out hot dog chunks. But we kept giving her food at every meal and now she is a pro eater!

Now im keeping my hopes high that her belly button hernia will go away on its own soon so she doesnt have to have surgery on it.

Oh and on a lighter note im glad her hair didnt end up as red as I though it was going to :)

I went back through all my pics of miss G to find some that shows how bad her face was but I guess when it was bad I didnt take any pics of her really because I couldnt find any. You can kinda see how red her cheeks were.

Beauty Shop

I deffinatly ended up with two girly girls. They love make up and clothes, and doing hair. The other night brie got out all these "tools"
to play hair salon. One was an actual brush but another was the pizza cutter from her play kitchen but she took all these things and said they were her things to do hair with. Of course there was a big fight because gigi has to have anything brie is playing with and then brie started screaming at her to leave her stuff alone. But being the smart mommy I am I suggested they play TOGETHER and take turns doing eachothers hair. Success! They played this together for 2 hours

Its not so much I love these pictures but I love them playing together. One of the main reasons I wanted to have two kids was so they could play together and do things together. I think sibling relationships are one of the best you will have through your life. Of course you fight and say you hate eachother but once you grow up its an amazing thing to have a sibbling you can call up and talk to and tell things too. I love watching familys interact with eachother because it never is perfect, but no matter how mad you seem to get at eachther they are there for you when you really need it. I am also very greatfull that kacys sibling and family have accepted me into their family because thats not always a given thing when you merge together! I just hope that no matter what Brie and Gigi will have an amazing relationship too and take good care of eachother!

I love when they get along

Most of my days are spent breaking up fights between the two girlies. Its hard because gigi loves her big sister so much she wants to do everything she does, but Brie isnt as fond of playing with gigi. So its moments like this when I catch them doing something together that makes me so happy they have each other. They were having a pretend sleep over and they would go to sleep then after a minute sit up and say good morning to each other.
