We were doing the photo shoot for bries horse pics and after she took off her skirt and I though she looked just like risky buisness. I was going to go grab some sunglasses for her to wear too but you know kids, if you dont get the pic right away the moment passes and your out of luck!

Bries 4th Birthday

So my little miss brie turned 4 this last weekend and we went all out for it. Seeing as we have so many toys already me and Kacy decided not to give her gifts but to take her to do all sorts of fun stuff on her special day. So on Saturday we got up and made some homemade huckleberry chocolate chip scones via her request and while she ate and got ready for the day I made her a homemade angel food cake! They are a pain to sift the flour and sugar over and over and to seperate a dozen egg whites but man are they worth it in the end.

First thing we went to do was get a happy meal lol I know that is silly but this girl loves her happy meals. Then I took her to get a pedicure. She looked so cute sitting in that big chair getting her toes done. next we went ice skating and even though it was a little chilly we had to MAKE her leave so she could make it to the movies in time. Kacy took her to go see Gnomeo and Juliet and me and my mom went clothes shopping for her and got so much cute stuff from jack and jills. I love getting tons of Gymboree for a fraction of the cost, but man that store does add up fast too!

We came home to BBQ steaks which is what she asked for for dinner, silly girl. And then after waiting all day she got to open the presents that were from the family. She got the coolest sea tent that we used at the party and now its hanging over her bed like a canopy, its really cool! Her grandma from California made her a Brie doll that looks like her and lots of fun clothes to dress her in.

It really was a great birthday just with the family and I think she had a blast even though she didnt get loaded up with stuff from mom and dad. I cant believe I already have a 4 year old! that just seems so big!

Daddy Time

This was the greatest moment of my night last night, both girls wanted to snuggle with ONLY DADDY! woo hoo so I got to sit in a chair with no kids climbing on me or squirming or hitting eachother. It was GREAT for both of us, kacy got his girly time and me my alone time.

Chinese New Year

Last night to celebrate chinese new year brie made this cute dragon. This is the benefit of having a 1st grade teacher for a Grammy, lots of fun crafts to do. And then we couldnt take a pic in just normal clothes so I got out the kimono for her, yeah I know that kimono is Japanese and im sure that is super offensive to orientals but it did make the pic cuter. So happy Chinese New Year to all!

This was when the new fireplace was being put in. Both girls just sat there and watched the whole thing. Im not sure why it was so exciting to them but it kept their attention for hours, Oh and Brie is holding an old rock that they took off. She liked that one and didnt want to throw it away.

It doesnt happen very often but this is my favorite time of day, when BOTH girls are sleeping at the same time yet its early enough that im not just so tired im sleeping too. I love the quiet, no fighting or crying or loud toys being played with ie: Brie is slamming on a drum right now.

Blizzard Bowl

Once again it was that time of year where we get crazy drunk and play softball out in the snow all day! We started out really good but about mid day all the guys, and maybe some of the girls had drank so much our softball playing wasnt quite up to its normal awsomness :) but after a good break and some sobering up we had a comeback to win the middle championship. I thought the day was only going to last until about 5 or 6 but our last game didnt get over until almost 9. Thats a long day when you start at 11. But it was a ton of fun like always and gets us pumped up for regular season games! Go Mayhem!
P.S. gigi survived for 10 hours with out me :)

Valentine nails

Im usually not much of a color nail kinda person but hey its V-day in a couple weeks so I did this pretty pink sparkles and then we added hot pink rhinestones! I cant just do plain white white any more and I love love these ones!

X marks the spot

When ever your kids are playing together all silent for too long of a time, you know something must be up. Tonight after about 45 minutes with no peep from either of them, just sitting on the floor I went to investigate and found that they had been coloring...on eachother. it was ALL over gigi's legs, brie even drew a little person on G's little cubby thighs. But my favorite was when Brie goes look at this mommy I colored on her tushy too, and sure enough two big x's.....Im not looking forward to scrubbing off the marker in the bath tonight but hey that 45 minutes of me time might just have been worth it.

Snowman Kit

We like to make a snowman when ever the snow is right and we really wanted to use our snowman making kit! It is such a cute kit that has a scarf, hat, carrot, nose and pipe. But best of all it has these black buttons and things for eyes and mouth that have little pegs on the back to stick into the snow. Its so much easier than trying to find rocks or stick olives in. Oh and gigi was very happy that she is now fitting big girl snow boots and can walk around and join in the fun.

Fishie Making Party! I have such good girlfriends! As you know im doing this under the sea party for Brie and already made one fish for it but the thought of doing so many more was overwhelming so I asked the girls to help out and do a fish making party to help out. Nicole provided the nice warm shop and everyone came over to hang out and make a fish or two. So now we have about 5 fish and some other things like a star fish and an octopus. They arnt all done yet but they are looking good! so excited to hang them all up!
