Stockings

Ok so I know I have a post about these from last year but when I got them out this year It got me all excited again, and technicaly the picture from last year are the ones I gave to Nicole and Chance so these might be a little different. Any ways these are the stockings I made last year (with some sewing help from my mom) I wanted the girls to have super special stockings to keep all their lives. I still have the one my mom made me as a little girl.

Dollhouse

The Finished Dollhouse! yay so I stayed up super late last night so I could finish this dollhouse once and for all. The outside still needs some work because I decided to put siding on it but the inside is all done! Im proud that I did it all myself, cuz lets face it kacy hasnt touched the thing since last Christmas eve when he built it. Im proud of it so here is a tour of Kens dream house.....just kidding that line just stuck in my head from ken in Toy Story 3.

the living room is my favorite! All gold and red to match the furniture, and I love the carpet. Also I think the painting hanging on the walls add a lot to it looking finished

The nursery was my first room I did, and it could use a little more to it, Im thinking of adding some curtains to the windows or something to the walls

The Kitchen, cant tell very well with the lighting but the walpaper is green to match the furniture. And then I put in wood floors

The bathroom is all blue and the little painting above the window is one that Mark Ogle did for the house.

.The attic bedroom was the hardest with all the angles, cutting the floor and wallpaper was a nightmare.

Nutcracker Ballet

Tonight I took Brie out to the Northwest Ballet Companies "Nutcracker" and it was soooo much fun. We almost didnt make it because im ALWAYS late to things and tonight was no exception, I parked and ran three blocks with Brie and got there just as the doors were closing to start...phewww cant image if I would have had to tell Brie we could go! She has been looking forward to this for weeks, ever since we went to go and buy her very own nutcracker!

While we watched Brie sat very quit and then clapped as hard as possible when everyone else was. All the performances were great but my absolute favorite was the Arabian girl. It made me wish I was a ballerina watching her. Guess ill have to put Brie in classes and live through her! Principal Ballerina here we come.

It was a great night out with my princess, something I love to get to do with just her, and Gigi and daddy had a good night together too.

Santas little helper

So this is a pic out of a magazine of what im making kacy build brie for Chritmas this year. You know me I saw it and thought why would i pay 255 dollars for that when I think I can make it myself. Well Ill need kacy to do the wood bases but then I want to decorate it. But right about now im starting to think I bit off more than I can chew this holiday season! With all the decoating, baking, crafts with the kids, parades, and playing outside im not sure how ill have time for this too, but ill do my best!

Thanksgiving

We had a really good Thanksgiving this year. It was a bit different because usually we go somewhere with tons of family and have a huge dinner but this year everyone kind of spread out to different spots so we decided to make our own dinner. Kacys mom did help a lot by putting the turkey in the oven for us in the morning and making some deviled eggs but other than that we made everything else and it all turned out amazing.

Kacy got me addicted to these crossword scratch tickets so on Thanksgiving we went and got a bunch and at one point four of us were all deep in concentration doing them, I tried to get a picture but kacy took my phone away, he didnt want evidence of our gambling on a family holiday.

The other thing that wasnt too family like was how much I drank. Well it wasnt really the champagne that made me sick, I think it was the combo of a LOT of food and then a bottle of carbonated alcohol that made my stomach hurt. Every year after I eat I feel like I want to throw up but this might have been the first year I actually did. Turned out I felt much much better and went on to have some dessert!

It might not have been a normal family filled Thanksgiving but I was very proud of us for doing it all and of course we had a good time watching football and eating, oh and looking at the black friday adds, which came in handy for me becasue I saw best buy had the 230 dollar camera I wanted for $150. I didnt think kacy would go get it for me but I guess he has been sick of hearing me complain about how slow my dino cam is and how I miss all the good pics of the girls. But this one is amazing and takes pics faster than I even expected it to!

Coldstone Float and the Christmas Parade

We have been working on a float for the Christmas parade for a few weeks now, for Coldstone Creamery, and last night was the big night. We put all the final touches on the float and then had to drive it from Helena Flats to the high school. Part way there we saw a truck stuck in the ditch and it was blocking the road so Chance just grabs the chains and pulls them out of the ditch with our float. Wish I had a picture of it! Any ways we got to the parade and all the coldstone girls sang their songs down the road and I sat on the back with Brie and Maddy. Gigi slept through it all in the warm truck so I guess she enjoyed it too. There were some other good floats that we saw but I think we did a good job and now just waiting to hear from the judges which float won! Thank you Nicole for wanting to make a fun float for the parade!

Hobble Gobble

We all know about the main present givers, santa, the easter bunny, and even the tooth fairy. But for some reason as a kid I missed out on one more, Hobble Gobble! He is the Thanksgiving turkey who comes and brings you gifts if you leave him a piece of pumpkin pie. Well Hobble Gobble is living on at our house. Kacy went out and got the girls and our nephew lucas some toys that will be from the gift giving turkey himself. Look at us all grow up cooking our very first thanksgiving dinner and passing on a tradition to our kids. gobble gobble gobble everyone, and happy thanksgiving!

Tyson

Tyson is the greatest dog ever, yeah everyone says that about their own dog but besides Lassy and Old Dan and Lil Ann (red fern grows? is that their names?) any ways moving on, There are super dogs and right below them is Tyson. Not only is he super calm and easy to take care of, he watches over the girls every night. Like right now both the girls are sleeping and Tyson is right there in the room on the floor. And he will lay there until I go to bed and tell him its ok, and then he will take himself to his own bed. What a good little watch dog making sure they are safe sleeping

Tyson didnt have the happiest of puppy life but after being saved by people who loved him and took care of him, and a lot of kacy working with him, You honestly couldnt ask for a better family dog, that is unless Ol Yeller is aplying for the job as well......

First Snow Day

Looking back at these pics it seems kinda lame that we were out playing in such a little amount of snow. But on the day when she snow was coming down and brie looked outside and got HUGE eyes and was yelling lets go out in th snow, how can i say no to that. It was also the first time I think gigi really saw and remembered snow so it was like a whole new thing to her. Im looking forward to a big snow year so I hope the snow fairies dont let me and my girls down!

It's My Grandpas Birthday!

This past Sunday was Kacys Dads birthday. We wanted to get him a cake from Coldstone because they are the best and I just happen to know the owner :) so we are sitting in the back trying to figure out what to write on the cake, all the normal things going thought our heads like "happy birthday dad" BORING so anyways while we are thinking Brie says:

Wait, I know, How about "Its My Grandpas Birthday"

It was one of the cutest things ever and perfect for the cake, so our amazing cake decorator wrote those exact words on there and it looked so good and tasted ever better!

hot tub in the rain.....

Brie and Kacy like to go hottubing at least a few times a week and of course miss G likes to get in on the action too.
It was POURING rain tonight but they still went and made a little umbrella tent to sit under.
I was actually out there to but went in to get a pic of them in their cave!
Rain you cant get us down, but would you turn to snow please!

Baby Einstein

Gigi loves watching baby einstein now! We had the set from when Brie was a baby and she never would sit and watch them. But gigi will plop down in her little chair and watch and clap and sing and dance through a whole one. Very helpfull when I need to get my hair done or update my blog :) Because that is what they are doing right at this very second!

Christmas Cones

Last year I learned how to make these pinecone chritmas ribbon things...lol
Any ways with some big cones and lots of ribbon you can make a fantastic gift and they are super easy once you get the hang of bow making. These ones I just did to send down to my Stepmom for Thanksgiving. They had found me these cones and brought them up from Tahoe this summer so I thought they should get to see what will become of them!

Piggies!!!

Yesterday was the first day I tried to get some little piggie tails in gigi's hair, they were a little silly because it was all the hair from the back of her head, so from the front you couldn't really see them at all. But they were still cute and girly and it made me excited that some day soon she will have long hair and hopefully she will let me fix it easier than miss brie lets me.
