Now there are 2 things that come to mind when she says stuff like this and hugs my belly.... one whats she going to think when baby gigi is taking up mommys time and doesnt go away and two how could i ever change her name from gigi now that brie says it so cute!

August Birthdays!

Wow there are a TON of bdays in August (including my own) Every other day it seems like i know someone else whos bday it is! The upside of all this is i really like cake right now so its easy to get! Happy Birthday Leos and Virgos, enjoy your summer month befor its fall!

Gigi shopping

I started shopping for lil gigi! I held out a long time just because i already have most everything she needs, but i forgot how irresistible all the teeny tiny clothes are and how many fun softy blankets you can find! Brie isnt so sure about all this stuff that doesnt seem to fit her, and tried to cram on some lil size 2 shoes today ( sad thing is she did get them on ) Now if i stock up on some baby shampoo, diapers, and nuk nuks we should be all ready for her! ONLY 8 weeks!

Fun Craft for the Kiddos

So i found in my parents magazine a really fun summer craft to do with brie and we had a great time making them! They are called Beach Chums and are all lil beach or ocean animals made out of egg carton bottoms. Make sure to use the cardboardish paper cartons instead of the Styrofoam
(better for environment and take paint better) I let brie paint all of the bottoms in different colors, waited for them to dry then cut them out to make the fallowing! add some eyes and a lil ribbon and they are cute as can be and a fun thing to do with your kiddos!

Fish: Glue together 2 egg cartons
make fins out of paper or ribbon

Clam: Glitter glue stripes on 2 white egg cartons
tape together inside

Octopus: glue on 8 6inch pices of ribbon

Starfish: Make five even cuts in the egg carton
Shape into points

Crab: glue on paperclips for lil claws!

Floating the River

one of our favorite things to do this summer has been tubing down the swan river. I would have pics of it but seeing as we get super wet every time a water proof camera would be a must. usually we leave brie behind but this weekend we decided to put on her life jacket and bring her with. She sat on my lap most the way just kinda silent not knowing what to think. This river isnt super crazy and i have never fallen off a tube before but i guess the one time i have brie was the time to flip. We hit a rapid and i guess it was just the right angle that i flipped off backward. All i could think was hold brie above the water and hope for the best. Well its a good thing uncle chance is a ninja cuz i held her up with both arms and in mid flip he just grabbed her and plopped her on his lap. Some how i came back up without hitting any rocks and quite refreshed from the water! Any ways it was great fun and im sure we will keep up the cheap entertainment!
